Extravagant Maple

This seems like a spendthrift tree; with it's arms outstretched, casting away any sense of restraint. Filled with flamboyant reds, oranges and golds and accented with greens, purples and the dark brown-blacks of the trunks, this image has an almost explosive quality about it. Yet it remains peaceful, although highly energized. The image has strong diagonal movement from the center towards all four corners, with the brilliant rays of the sun peaking around the central trunk in the center. The complexity of warm colors contributes to the extroverted feeling of the image.   Although this is just one tree, it reminds me of the absolute extravagance of nature, with life "pressed down and overflowing." Breathe deep!
